Chicken in Blue Cheese Sauce

A delicious dish with chicken, blue cheese and cream. Best served with oven roasted potatoes. Can also be served with rice or bulgur.


  • Prep Time: 10 min Cooking Time: 20-25 min

  • 4-6 servings

  • 1 kg chicken fillet (thigh or tenderloin)
  • ½ deciliter olive oil
  • 1 Chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 dl Water
  • 250 grams of blue cheese
  • ½ liter of cream
  • 15 whole pink peppercorns
  • Salt
  • Parsley

Use a Casserole with high sides.
Fry the chicken fillets, whole or in pieces, all around in the olive oil.

Boil water and dissolve the bouillon cube.
Pour over the chicken when it is golden brown.
Add the whole pink peppercorns.
Let simmer for about 15 minutes.

Add cream and let it boil for a short while.
Add the blue cheese in small pieces and stir gently.

Let the chicken simmer in the cheese sauce for about 10 minutes.
Add salt after your own taste.

Sprinkle parsley over the chicken.

Serve with oven roasted potatoes and a salad.
