Homemade vanilla cream is among the best things you can fill your pastries with. The purchased varieties cannot compare with a homemade vanilla cream on real vanilla. This vanilla cream is easy to make and delicious.

- 1 vanilla pod
- 4 dl milk
- 1 dl caster sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 25 g of butter
Split the vanilla pod in half (along) and scrape out the seeds, then boil the seeds and pod with milk and caster sugar.
Beat egg yolks and cornstarch white and fluffy. Then pour the hot milk mixture over the egg beater while constantly beating.
Strain everything back into the pan and boil to the thickness you want for the cream.
Whisk in the butter when the cream is removed from the heat – whisk constantly until the cream is smooth. Then place in the refrigerator.
